NO CHEMICAL PESTICIDES OR FERTILIZERS
r e s o u r c e s:
a c t i o n s:
- try “grass-cycling”
- employ integrated pest management techniques
- make your own insecticide: liquid soap kills aphids, sawflies, spider mites, scale + whiteflies. mix 2 tablespoons of plant-based liquid soap with 1 gallon of water and spray.
- mow at the right height: when the grass is 1/3 higher than desired – for a 3 inch height, cut when grass in 4 inches. cutting too short allows more light to reach soil, damaging turf health while increasing weeds.
