Modern Farmhouse
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Completed Construction Summer of 2023, Baltimore County, Maryland. This newly constructed home was designed to take full advantage of the glorious 360 views of this old farm property. The original log cabin was deconstructed to the fireplace and left as an outdoor patio.
energy + iaq:
The well-insulated envelope and south facing windows provide excellent energy efficiency. The house is heated and cooled by a highly efficient geothermal system.
materials + iaq:
Many natural and non-toxic materials used through-out; salvaged wood, timbers and stone from the old deconstructed house were used throughout the new home.
water:
Water efficient fixtures were installed, including dual-flush toilets and low-flow fixtures.
