Nautiwoods
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Construction completed 2016 in Annapolis, Maryland, the Nautiwoods was a modern, eco-friendly renovation to a 1980’s A-frame kit home. Project Architect while at Brennan + Company Architects, photography by Anne Gummerson.
materials + iaq:
All materials used were natural, recycled content or rapidly renewable. Kitchen backsplash and stove tile are natural clay and recycled glass from Fireclay. This project was featured as full spread in Fireclay’s 2017 catalog. We collaborated with a local fabricator to build bamboo kitchen cabinets and vanities with concrete counters. Recycled teak was used for flooring in the primary bath and natural whitewash was used to brighten up the old wood flooring.
